The hotel is reached by its own private road. Past the entrance is a spacious, well-kept garden with three hotel buildings around it.

Reception, the restaurant and the banquet hall are in the building on the left. The building on the right holds the kitchen and rooms, and the one straight ahead has the lobby and more rooms.

The view from the terrace

From the hotel terrace the mountain range, green hills, the lake and much of Pokhara stretch out into the distance. From the balconies, the view is of the garden below.

It is one of the few hotels where a single room can look out on the Peace Stupa, the mountains and Phewa Lake together.

Away from the crowds

Set away from the crowds, the hotel aims to be a home away from home, with power backup around the clock.

The in-house restaurant serves a multi-cuisine menu, from the breakfast buffet to dinner.

How the hotel is run

  • Water heated by the sun

Hot water comes from solar heaters, which keeps fossil-fuel use down.

  • Kitchen waste back into the garden

Biodegradable waste is composted into organic fertiliser for the hotel’s flower garden.

  • Bought from neighbours

Vegetables and many other supplies are bought from local producers.
